Hockey Beating!

25 January 2002

The verdict is in on Mr. Junta.  He beat the living crap out of Mr. Costin a while back after the two got into a fight over their sons’ hockey game.  Mr. Junta is sentenced from 6 to 10 years for “involuntary” manslaughter.  Yep, he involuntarily punched and kicked.  Reflexes you know.  I think he deserves it.  I also do not have any feelings for the deceased.  Both were idiots for letting it get to that stage.  If the kids were overly aggressive on the ice, it is just a reflection of their homes.

Anyways, these two idiots were not model citizens themselves.  Turns out that his wife slapped Mr. Junta with a restraining order!  Of course they are back together now. (Well at least until he goes to jail.)  And Mr. Costin was no saint being in and out of jail a few times himself.  He also had a drinking problem.

Buts that’s not all!  Mr. Junta’s attorney is going to appeal the sentence.  I guess this lawyer just needs a little more money and has no qualms about this guy getting back on the street.  I wonder if this lawyer would allow his kids to associate with the Junta family?

Violence at sporting events has grown over the years.  It is getting out of hand.  I’ve been to professional hockey games and the fans do not seem to be interested in the play or score, but when a fight starts, they go wild.  I guess fighting should be a sport.  Oh, it is in many forms, boxing and wrestling come to mind.
